Meet Our Guest Speakers
Chelsea Siefert, Chief Operating Officer, Quonset Development Corporation
Chelsea oversees the long-term development of the Quonset Business Park in line with the Corporation’s strategic goals of bringing new jobs, private investment and tax revenue to the State of Rhode Island. Ms. Siefert engages new and potential tenants, oversees marketing and leasing activities, and acts as a liaison between the Corporation and businesses, state and federal regulatory agencies, and municipal and congressional leaders. Ms. Siefert joined QDC in July 2019, bringing over 15 years of experience in land use planning and development review. Prior to joining the Corporation, Ms. Siefert was the Planning Director for the Town of South Kingstown, where she emphasized finding practical solutions and encouraged smart growth. Ms. Siefert holds a BA in Politics from Saint Anselm College and a Master’s in Community Planning from the University of Rhode Island.
Gregory J. Coren, P.E., Manager of Engineering, Quonset Development Corporation
Gregory is responsible for planning, administering, and managing infrastructure improvements throughout the Quonset Business Park (QBP), including the Port of Davisville. This includes identifying and assessing the infrastructure needs of the QBP, assigning internal and external resources to address those needs, and managing the design and construction process to implement the projects. His duties include supporting the QDC’s Department of Public Works, and assisting other staff with grant applications, day-to-day operations, and general engineering. Prior to joining QDC in 2022, Mr. Coren was a practicing geo-structural engineer, with a focus on heavy marine-waterfront projects. He has a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
